Fingerpistol is a three-time Austin Music Award winning country dance band from Austin, Texas combining tried and true country classics with crowd pleasing originals penned by Fingerpistol front man Dan Hardick, who spends the remainder of his time time working as an advice columnist for The Austin Chronicle and being father to three amazing daughters and a precocious rat terrier that he describes as an "emotional distress animal." Rounding out the rest of Fingerpistol are vocalist/aesthetician Meg "Amarillo" Bodi, guitar God/fly fisherman Landis Armstrong, drummer/aquatic scientist Jill Csekitz and alternate drummer/creative visionary Andrew C. Gerfers; bassist, band genius, and bush pilot Sam Wilson, and pedal steel guitarist and genuine country music legend Neil Flanz, who was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 2016.

Fingerpistol won’t set their instruments on fire, play guitar behind their backs, or do flying, acrobatic dives into teeming mosh pits (mosh pits?), but they will play some fun music, sing some nice harmonies, and keep your toes tapping. Sure, they’re probably not the next Rascal Flatts or Florida Georgia Line, but give them credit for sticking it out well beyond their expiration date; for continuing to navigate the treacherous gauntlet of the music business with a naive sense of adventure and optimism. Maybe someday they’ll award a Grammy for that, but don’t hold your breath. Instead, jump on the Fingerpistol bandwagon.
